Police investigated an assault at the
Lincoln House Restaurant early Saturday
morning, where they found a 30-year-old
victim unconscious in the parking lot.

AIRLIFTED AFTER LINCOLN HOUSE ASSAULT

A 30-year-old Lincolnton man is airlifted
to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte
with possible head injuries after an
assault at the Lincoln House Restaurant
early Saturday morning.
Around 1:30am, Lincolnton Police were
called to the restaurant on Clark Drive
to reports of an unconscious male in the
parking lot who had been assaulted by two
white male suspects.
Officer Tony Potts identified the victim
as Kyle Woodrow Sigmon. Sigmons
last known address is a residence on
South Grove Street.
He was waiting for a ride when he
walked out to the parking lot, said
Potts. Thats when the assault
occurred.

The
suspects left in a green or blue Saturn
thats been traced to an address on
Startown Road, near Richie Road and the
Catwaba/Lincoln County line.
Authorities are searching for the
suspects as of early Saturday morning and
could not say what the altercation was
over.
Lincoln EMS said the victim was bleeding
from the back of the head and mouth. Its
not known the extent of the victims
internal injuries.
Sigmon was transported to Carolinas
Medical Center Lincoln by medic, taken
directly to the helicopter then
airlifted.
