LINCOLN COUNTY -- Boger City and North 321 firefighters
battled an outbuilding fire around 8 p.m. Tuesday night on
Alberry Lane. And, according to Lincoln County Fire Marshal Mike
Futrell, lightning does strike twice.
It did to two trees near the outbuilding, and set the outbuilding
on fire. When firefighters arrived on the scene, the outbuilding
was fully engulfed in flames.
The homeowner wasn't at home but told WSOC-TV that he was
grateful the fire didn't affect his residence. Firefighters did
report two propane tanks were on fire as they battled the blaze.
Authorities aren't sure that lightning didn't strike a third
time.
Firefighters had to leave a structure fire on High Knoll Road
that happened around 7 p.m. It's believed a downed power line may
have started a fire in the back of the residence that's located
next door to the North 321 Volunteer Fire Department.
