LINCOLNTON
-- Three teenagers were so
excited to get back to school Monday,
they were actually caught breaking into
part of Lincolnton High's football
stadium late Sunday night.
Officer
Mark Sain was on routine patrol when he
noticed the three juvenile suspects in
the lower portion of the football
stadium. The Carolina Scoop cannot
release the names of the two 14-year-old
and one 13-year-old supects because they
are underage.
Sain
talked to the three teens, who admitted
to breaking into the snack bar at the top
of the stadium. They took ice cream and
sprayed a fire extinguisher inside the
snack bar.
Officers
discovered the fire extinguisher was
labeled "Lincolnton Middle
School."
After
further questioning, the teens also
admitted to entering Lincolnton High
School, taking pictures off the walls.
Police found the pictures at the
juvenile's residences on Deaton Avenue.
The
Department of Social Services was called
in to investigate why the juveniles were
out so late. Officers returned custody of
the children to their parents.
Lincolnton
High's school resource officer was also
notified of the incident. Officers said
the students entered the high school
through the door near the tennis courts.
