DENVER -- While
operations officially began in the new location
for Leonard Automatics around the first part of
August, Lincoln Economic Development Association
(LEDA) officials are holding a ribbon cutting at
the new facility today (Thursday) at 11 a.m.
The new facility for Leonard is on 6.5 acres in
LEDA's newest industrial park and is one mile
from the company's previous location.
Company officials touted the move as a hallmark
of the success of the company, giving the company
"room to take the company to even greater
levels of success."
The new facility provides expanded manufacturing
and R&D space, as well as additional office
space for new employees. The building will also
allow the company to continue existing product
lines, explore new markets and improve
manufacturing processes and infrastructure.
Leonard Automatics was founded in 1969, and the
business moved to Denver in 1980. The company is
leaving a building it had occupied since 1985,
when it began manufacturing its own line of
finishing equipment for the garment manufacturing
and industrial laundering industries.
