LINCOLN COUNTY SCHOOLS TO HOLD OPEN HOUSES

LINCOLNTON – With more than 12,000 children going back to more than 20 Lincoln County Schools next week, the following elementary and intermediate schools are holding open houses.

The following schools will hold their open house on Thursday, August 21, 2008:
1. Battleground Elementary – 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm

2. Catawba Springs Elementary – 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm

3. Norris S. Childers Elementary – 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm Kindergartners will have orientation at 5:30 pm

4. Iron Station Elementary – 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm

5. F.D. Jack Kiser Intermediate – 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm

6. Love Memorial Elementary – 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm Kindergarten orientation begins at 5:00 pm

7. North Brook Elementary – 4:00 to 6:00 pm

8. Pumpkin Center Intermediate – 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm Grade 3 at 5:00 pm Grade 4 at 5:30 pm Grade 5 at 6:00 pm

9. Pumpkin Center Primary – 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm

10. Rock Springs Elementary – 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm

11. S. Ray Lowder Elementary – 5:00 pm

12. Union Elementary – 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm

The following schools will hold their open house on Friday, August 22, 2008:
1. G.E. Massey Elementary – 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm

2. St. James Elementary – 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm

The first day of school for Lincoln County is August 25.
