CASAR
- Lawrence William Logan, Jr., 60, of 502 Mt. Moriah School Rd, passed away at home on Wednesday, June 17, 2009.

He was born in Cleveland County, on April 12, 1949, to Nettie Bridges Logan and the late Lawrence William Logan, Sr. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Casar and a member of the Casar Masonic Lodge #579. He was a founding member of the Peelers Mill Band. He was self-employed.

Besides his father, he is preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Belinda Beaver.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Bobbie Beaver Logan; son, Patrick Logan and wife Tammy of Casar; sister, Ruth Yount and husband Fet of Casar; three grandchildren, Tanner, Garrett and Mason Logan all of Casar; nephews, Warren Tallent, Jeff Tallent, Darrell Tallent, Thomas Tallent and Charles Tallent; and a niece, Deborah Davis.

The family will receive friends on Friday at Stamey Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m.

The funeral will be held on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Casar, with the Rev Jamie Bridges and Rev. Sam Snyder officiating. The burial will follow in the New Home United Methodist Church Cemetery.
