VICTIM ARRESTED
IN CONVENIENCE STORE LARCENY

Ronald Kennedy was
charged with Larceny Monday.
LINCOLNTON
-- A Lincolnton man who was an
assault suspect over the weekend may
spend the Christmas holiday in the Harven
A. Crouse Detention Center after stealing
a beer from a convenience store.
Sgt.
Willie Vaughn and officer Tony Potts
responded to EDM at 601 Riverside Drive
Monday afternoon. According to his
report, Ronald Kennedy had taken the beer
from the store.
Kennedy
was charged with larceny, consuming
alcohol under the age of 21 and
possession of an alcoholic beverage under
the age of 21.
He was
taken to jail under a $1,100 secured bond
and has a court date scheduled in
February.
Over the
weekend, Kennedy was involved in a fight
with 43-year-old William Reynolds of 507
West Water Street. According to Kennedy,
Reynolds punched him repeatedly in the
face.
Kennedy
didn't require medical treatment for his
injuries. As of Tuesday night, Kennedy
remained in jail.
