Kay Beheler Norwood, 60, of 349 Webb Farm
Rd, passed away Monday, July 13, 2009 at
Hospice Cleveland County - Wendover in
Shelby.
She was born September 16, 1948, daughter
of the late Claude Beheler and Vera Darby
Beheler.
She attended Beaver Dam Baptist Church.
She was the best grammy ever; she loved
her children and grandchildren more than
anything and enjoyed their ball games and
dance recitals. She was an avid softball
player and coach. She loved Jesus as her
Savior and valiantly won her battle with
breast cancer on the day she saw her
Savior's face.
In addition to her parents, she was
preceded in death by her brother, Garry
Davis and twin, Glenda Fay Beheler.
Survivors include her son and
daughter-in-law, Stephen B. Norwood and
wife, Melody of Bessemer City; daughter
and son-in-law, Barbara Norwood Humphries
and husband, Gary Humphries Jr. of Mount
Holly; brothers and sisters-in-law, David
Beheler and wife, Cindy of Lincolnton,
C.J. Beheler and wife, Elaine Beheler of
Dawsonville, Ga; sisters and
brothers-in-law, Novella McClung and
husband, Jackie of Boiling Springs,
Patricia Bryan of Taylors, SC, Anita
Walker and husband, Bud of Hemingway, SC,
Sherry Williamson and husband, Kelly of
Mesa, Arizona, Darlene Gause and Buck
Buchanan of Myrtle Beach, SC;
grandchildren, Trevor and Maysie
Humphries, Beth and Zack Norwood, Ashley
and LeeAnn Jones.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until
1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at
Beaver Dam Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30
p.m Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at Beaver
Dam Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Black,
Rev. Michael White and Rev. Joe Edwards
officiating.
A graveside service will be held at 3:30
p.m. at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery
in Bessemer City, NC.
