B&E Suspect Caught in Act

HICKORY -- Around 1:15 a.m. Wednesday, Catawba County Communications received a call that a subject was breaking into the Robinson Rd General Store.

Sgt. Pete Lutz responded to the scene and observed a white male exit the store. After a short scuffle Sgt. Lutz apprehended the subject and placed him under arrest.

28 year old Joshua Loy Rector, 2242 Chatham St. Newton, was charged with breaking and entering, larceny, and resist obstruct and delay. His bond is set at $10,000.00 and the court date has been scheduled for 07/03/08
