Dallas- John Samuel Lutz, age 87, of Alexis High Shoals Road, Dallas, passed away July 29, 2009 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. He was born February 19, 1922 in Gaston County to the late Edith Friday Pursley.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey W. Lutz of the home, two daughters, Linda Walters and Susie Propst, both of Dallas, three sons, Johnnie Ray Lutz, John S. Lutz Jr., and Paul Floyd Lutz, all of Dallas, one brother, Billy A. Friday of Randleman, NC, nine grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

Services will be held Friday, July 31, 2009 at 2:00 PM at E. F. Drum Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The interment will be at Stanley Cemetery in Stanley, NC. Reverend Randal Wright will officiate.
