CHERRYVILLE - Joel Vincent Beam, Age 64, of 111 Harrilson Road, died Wednesday, June, 10, 2009 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. Joel was born in Guilford County, N. C. August 4, 1944, the son of the late Charles Grier and Lena Sue Brawley Beam. Formerly employed at Carolina Freight Carriers, he was a life long member of the First United Methodist Church and a veteran of Vietnam US Air Force

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a nephew, Charlie Beam.

Survivors: Sister: Linda B. Beam and Husband, Michael, of Cherryville, NC.

Niece M’shel Beam Bowen and Husband Ken, of Cherryville

Great niece and great nephew, Meredith and Mitchell Bowen, of Cherryville

Graveside Services will be conducted at 11:00AM on June 12, 2009 at the Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery, with Rev. Rick Fite officiating. Cherryville Post 100 will
