LINCOLNTON
-- City police arrest a
Lincolnton man after he exhibits unusual
behavior at a busy gas station, then goes
down the street and causes a disturbance
at a fast-food restaurant.
Officer
Billy Burgin responded to the V&B
Food Mart around 5:15 p.m. Monday and
spoke to a female victim.
She told
him that a white male -- later identified
as Jimmy Franklin Walker, 60 -- simply
got into the passenger side of her
vehicle and started going through her
things.
The
woman came out of the store and yelled at
the suspect, who then walked away towards
downtown Lincolnton on East Main Street.
Burgin
began investigating the incident when he
received a call of a disturbance at
Hardee's.
The
description the witness at V&B Food
Mart and Hardees matched, so Burgin
responded to find Walker drunk.
The
incident report indicated Walker was
inside the restaurant, causing a
disturbance.
Burgin
retrieved Walker and took him back to the
convenience store, where the woman
positively identified Walker.
After
the stop at the convenience store, the
next stop for Walker was the Harven A.
Crouse Detention Center. Burgin charged
him with breaking and entering a motor
vehicle. Bond for Walker was set at
$5,000 secured.
