OFF-DUTY LINCOLN COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPUTY GIVEN CRIMINAL SUMMONS ON SEXUAL BATTERY CHARGE

LINCOLNTON – An off-duty Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy has been served a criminal summons to appear in court to answer a charge of misdemeanor sexual battery.

Lincoln County Sheriff Tim Daugherty has put Deputy John Isaacks Jr. on administrative duty pending the outcome of an internal investigation through the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.

The alleged incident happened at Wal-Mart in Lincolnton on June 21, 2009 around 2:55pm.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office fully cooperated with Lincolnton Police Department’s investigation.

According to the Lincoln County Magistrate’s Office, the criminal summons serves as a citation giving the person served a court date.

Deputy Isaacks’ first appearance in Lincoln County District Court will be July 21, 2009.
