Two RSI Employees
Arrested on Separate Charges of Identity Theft

detectives arrested two people Thursday on
Identity Theft cases in California and Texas.
Detective Andrew Alvarado arrested Antonio Tornez
Nava, 25, of Gastonia and Maria Remedios Rosaldo
Carrasco, 42, of Catawba Street in Lincolnton on
one count each of felony Identity Theft.
Nava was using identification of Eduardo Chacon,
a Los Angeles fire fighter, who lost his wallet
in 2001. Chacon was not aware of someone using
his identity until contacted by the IRS about why
he didnt report all of his income.
Carrasco was using the identification of a
Harlingen, Texas woman, Delia Zepeda, whose purse
was stolen during a vehicle break-in. She was
also made aware that someone was using her
identification when contacted by the IRS.
Detective Alvarado said both suspects are illegal
immigrants. Nava had been working for three years
under the assumed name while Carrasco had been
working for five years using the Texas
womans identification. Both were employed
at RSI Plant #2 in the Lincoln County Industrial
Park.
Both suspects were placed in the Harven A. Crouse
Detention Center under a $20,000 secured bond
each.
Detectives Sally Dellinger, Robin Powell, and 1st
Sgt. Lee Keller assisted in the investigation and
arrests.
