Lincoln County Sheriff's detectives are asking for the public's help in solving a home break-in.

According to spokesman Ricky Hensley, someone broke into a house under construction at the end of Kinks Lane off Blair Road in the Goodson Place subdivision on March 10.

“Approximately $6,000 worth of copper wire and copper tubing were cut away and probably sold at one of the local scrapyards,” said Hensley.

Hensley added the residence has been broken into several times. Detective Sally Dellinger is investigating the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office at (704) 732-9050 or Crimestoppers of Lincolnton/Lincoln County at (704) 736-8909.

Anonymous tips leading to an arrest in any crime may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
