Crash shuts down Highway 150 east


Two people were transported to CMC Lincoln after a two-car crash on East Highway 150 near the hospital.

December 17, 2011 (Boger City) –
A two-vehicle crash shut down Highway 150 east in front of Carolinas Medical Center Lincoln on Friday afternoon.

Boger City and North 321 firefighters, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Lincoln Rescue and Lincoln EMS responded to the scene where a car and minivan collided.

Firefighters had to use the Hearst Tool, also known as the “Jaws of Life,” to get the driver of the car out. Two people were transported to the hospital with what authorities called non-life threatening injuries.

The North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
