VALE
MAN ARRESTED AFTER SERIES OF INCIDENTS
By Jon Mayhew
LINCOLNTON A Vale man who
started a series of disturbances at a
Lincolnton restaurant ended up going to
jail after officers witnessed the man
urinating in the roadway of Riverside
Drive.
Officer Tony Pots said the incident
started at Fatz Café on East Main Street
around 10:45pm.
The manager called and said
Christopher Henderson and a woman were
causing a disturbance, and he wanted the
party to leave, said Potts.
Officers were called back to Fatz Café
three times in reference to the same
suspect, according to Officer Potts
report. Officers found a small
pocketknife on the suspect during the
third call, which was confiscated.
At one point, Henderson thought he left a
jacket at the restaurant that he actually
wore outside the first time he was thrown
out. A second time, the woman thought she
lost her debit card, which she found in
her pocketbook.
Henderson later came to the police
department, looking for his pocketknife.
By the time officers found Henderson and
Charlene Lovelace, they were in front of
Farmer Toms.
According to Lt. Dwite Shehan, Henderson
was arrested for drunk and disruptive
behavior and standing by the roadway.
Bond on the charges was set at $1,000
secured.
The arrest report indicated Lovelace was
taken to the Harven A. Crouse Detention
Center via public assist.
