Helen Naomi Martin Stroud

LINCOLNTON - Mrs. Helen Naomi Martin Stroud, age 83, of Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, December 23, 2009.

Born in Lincolnton on August 6, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Mary Beal Martin and Burgin Martin. Mrs. Stroud was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert H. Stroud. A graduate of Lincolnton High school, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Prevost and husband, Dr. Jim Prevost of Shelby, and two grandchildren, Mary Catherine Prevost and John Prevost of Shelby.

Her funeral service will be at 3 p.m. on Monday, December 28, at E. F. Drum Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ken Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Hollybrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at E. F. Drum Funeral Home in Lincolnton.
