NEWTON - Harry Brinkley Lindler, age 89, of Newton, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2009 at Abernethy Laurels in Newton. He was born October 20, 1919 in Lexington County, SC to the late Henry Bright and Virginia Beatrice Brinkley Lindler. Mr. Lindler served in the US Army in WWII and was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church of Claremont. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

Survivors Include: Wife of 68years: Martha Connor Lindler of Abernethy Laurels in Newton

2 Sons: Ronald Lindler and wife Debbie of Newton Dennis Lindler and wife Sandra of Conover

Brother: C.H. Lindler of Statesville

Sister: Ruby Virginia Trembley of New Jersey

4 Grandsons and 2 Great Grandchildren

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Burke Mortuary Chapel with Chaplain Larry Bolick officiating.

Burial will follow in Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery in Claremont.

The family will receive friends on Saturday prior to the service from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
