Authorities investigating late-night assault

Authorities were called to a residence in the 1400 block of Love Memorial School road just after 10pm Wednesday night, to reports a female had been assaulted.

Around the same time, authorities were also called to the South Grove Street area, where several prople had been gathering near the intersection of Love Memorial School Road and South Grove Street Extension.

A white female, dressed in all-black, showed up on the front porch of the residence, bleeding according to a caller into the Lincoln County Communications Center.

Lincoln EMS was called to look at the victim. Law enforcement believed both incidents are related.
