LINCOLNTON -- Wednesday marks the fifth
annual Lincolnton/Lincoln County Chamber of
Commerce Business Expo. The event gets underway
with a "Get Up and Network" event at 8
a.m. at the James W. Warren Citizen's Center in
downtown Lincolnton.
According to Lisa Wallace with the Chamber, 45
vendors are taking part in the event this year
that's themed "Grab the Gold," to
coincide with the Olympics.
"Along with this theme, we've added a
scavenger hunt with a great grand prize,"
said Wallace.
One vendor is sure to get attention; Abernathy
Chrysler Chevrolet of Lincolnton will be
featuring new vehicles at the event. Also, WLON
radio will be broadcasting from the expo.
Wallace said in 2007, the Expo drew more than
1,100 people to the Citizen's Center.
"We're expecting that many, maybe
more," said Wallace.
The Carolina Scoop will have video from the event
Wednesday night. For more information on the Expo
or information on the Lincolnton/Lincoln County
Chamber of Commerce, call 704-735-3096. The
Carolina Scoop is a proud member of the Chamber.
