FORGERY SUSPECT CAUGHT AT BANK

Bank employees and police teamed up to catch a forgery
suspect while inside a Lincolnton bank. The incident happened
last week at Carolina Trust Bank on East Main Street.

Thursday around 5pm, officer Dwayne McAllister arrested David
Munson, 18, Charlotte, seizing a check where Munson had used
white out to cover the “pay to the order of”, inserting his name.

The check was written for more than $1,900 according to
detectives investigating the case.

Munson was taken to the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center
under a $3,500 secured bond on a charge of obtaining property
by false pretenses. As of Monday night, Munson had posted
bond and was released from jail.
