DENVER More charges are
expected to be filed against a Lincoln
County teenager, arrested by
sheriffs detectives on forgery
charges.
Detective Andrew Alvarado charged
Nicholas Ryan Callahan, 18, Rolling Hills
Lane, Stanley, on three felony counts of
uttering a forged residence.
The checks were stolen from a
vehicle parked at a residence on Love
Point Road in Denver in November
2008, said Alvarado. The
three checks were cashed at businesses at
Highways 16 and 73 prior to the checks
being reported stolen on Nov. 19,
2008.
The suspect gave the detective a
statement that he cashed three checks. A
fourth stolen check was cashed but not by
the suspect.
Callahan was released on a $5,000
unsecured bond. Investigation into the
incident is continuing.
