STUDENTS “FOOTING IT” FOR SPRING SPIRIT

If you see people walking around a local Lincolnton elementary
school this weekend, school isn’t in session.

S. Ray Lowder Elementary School will play host the first “Spring
Spirit” 5K run/walk 9am Saturday.

“The route will take participants through scenic downtown
Lincolnton,” said Missy Calloway with Lincolnton Parks and
Recreation.

Following the race will be an awards ceremony with prizes for
the top male and female finishers and for age group winners.

Proceeds from the race will benefit school programs, such as
technology and classroom materials.
