IRON STATION - Floyd W. Johnson, 82, of Iron Station, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Carolinas Medical Center - Lincolnton.

He was born Dec. 22, 1926, in Mecklenburg County to the late John W. Johnson and Mary Burkette Johnson.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Irene Johnson; stepdaughters, Lillian Moore and Brenda Sue Martin; granddaughter, Debbie Johnson; three sisters; two brothers; and son-in-law, Ray Honeycutt.

His survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Leonard "Jack" Johnson and Sandra of Iron Station; Willie Johnson and Pam of Stanley; daughters, Diane Honeycutt of Stanley, Linda Johnson of Iron Station; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

Visitation will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2009, at Greene Funeral Service-South Chapel, Gastonia.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at Faith and Praise Assembly, Ranlo, officiated by Pastor Marie Dunn and Pastor Matthew Sparks.

Interment will be held privately.
