LINCOLNTON
-- Lincolnton Police
detective Chuck McGInley arrested and
charged a 23-year-old Lincolnton with
child abuse involving her own
six-year-old son.
A
witness told authorities the mother --
identified as Brandee Flowers of Railroad
Road -- punched her son in the face and
head, causing bruising on the child's
left temple.
The
incident report at the Lincolnton Police
Department read the blows were so
forceful and frequent, the child was
"knocked on the floor."
The
incident happened around 11:30 a.m. on
Nov. 25 according to the report.
Flowers
was taken to jail under an $800 secured
bond, with a next appearance in court
scheduled for Dec. 9, 2008.
The
report didn't indicate whether or not the
child received medical attention. The
Lincoln County Department of Social
Services is investigating and the child
has been placed in foster care.
