will actually be burning two homes behind
Boger City Baptist Church to get further
training and practice in putting out
fires.
The
training fires come as authorities in

drill at the National Guard Armory on
Maiden Highway.
"It's
all designed to keep us in
practice," said Lincolnton Fire
Department assitant fire chief Mitch
Burgin.
The
Carolina Scoop learned Friday evening
training fires are also scheduled in the
Denver Fire Department's district, as
well as the East Lincoln Fire Department
district.
The
training will last for several hours,
usually until about 1 p.m. or 2 p.m. The
training is expected to start around 7
