-- A Lincolnton man is in
trouble after trying to sell narcotics
officers fake drugs in eastern Lincoln
County.
Officers arrested William James
"Mutt" Morrison Tuesday on
Highway 16 north in Denver.
"He's charged with obtaining
property by false pretenses and
possession with intent to sell and
deliver counterfeit drugs," said
Lincoln County Sheriff's Office public
information officer Larry Seagle.
Investigators said Morrison had nearly 46
grams of powder cocaine that -- after
being feild tested -- turned out to be
fake.
Morrison is in the Harven A. Crouse
Detention Center under a $10,000 secured
bond and had a first appearance in court
Wednesday.
