NEWTON - Evelyn Coleen Little Rudisill, age 85, of Newton, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Palliative Care Center and Hospice of Catawba Valley following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Rudisill was born June 10, 1924 in Lincoln County to the late Minnie Brotherton Little and Lihu Lee Little. She worked in the furniture industry for many years. She was a member of Center United Methodist Church of Catawba. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Glenn S. Rudisill; her only son, Donald Ray Rudisill; five brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors Include:

2 Granddaughters: Michele L. Rudisill and husband Mark Wright of Efland, NC, Melissa (Missy) Rudisill Frye and husband Shannon of Catawba

Former daughter-in-law: Camillia Holland and husband Dean of Catawba

2 Great granddaughters: Bailey and Taylor Frye

Numerous Nieces and Nephews

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at Center United Methodist Church in Catawba with Rev. Paula Northrup and Donald Farris officiating. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Center United Methodist Church in Catawba.
