WILMINGTON -
Ella Mae Kiser McNeill, 90, of
Lincolnton, died July 19, 2009, at Davis
Nursing Home.
Born May 18, 1919, in Lincolnton, she was
a daughter of the late D.A. Kiser and
Mary Abernethy.
Ella Mae graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne
College and for over 70 years she owned
and operated Kiser's Store near High
Shoals, NC. She was a lifelong member of
St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hardin.
She is preceded in death by Neil McNeill,
her husband; brothers, Jack and Jim Kiser
and sisters, Ruth Long, Margaret King and
Kate Kiser.
Survivors include her daughter, Anita
Lathan and granddaughter, Kelly Fort; and
two great-granddaughters, Bailey and
Raigan Fort, all from Wilmington.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at
St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The Rev.
Sherrill Curtis will conduct the funeral
services.
Graveside services will follow in the
church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:30
until 9 p.m. Friday at Warlick Funeral
Home in Lincolnton.
Memorials are requested in lieu of
flowers to St. Paul's Lutheran Church,
531 Hardin Road, Hardin, NC 28034.
Warlick Funeral Home in Lincolnton is
serving the McNeill family.
