LINCOLNTON - Edith Corine Stowe Hester, 89, of Lincolnton passed away July 8, 2009 at Brian Center of Lincolnton. She was born December 17, 1919 in Lincoln County to the late Jim Stowe and Fannie Varner Stowe.

She was a spinner for J.P. Stevens.

She is survived by two sons, James Leroy Hester and Charles Steve Hester, both of Lincolnton, one daughter, Brenda Marlene Swaney of Pendleton, SC, one brother, Charles Stowe of Iron Station, two sisters, Helen Leonhardt and Pearl Shrum, both of Lincolnton, and a special cousin, Florence Reinhardt of Lincolnton.

Services will be held Saturday, July 11, 2009 at 2:00 PM at E. F. Drum Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The interment will be at Hollybrook Cemetery.

E. F. Drum Funeral Home is serving the Hester family.
