Several arrests were made
Monday night in what Lincoln County
narcotics officers call a drug
interdiction, which occurred in the
McIntosh Road area off Highway 16.
Narcotics investigators stopped a vehicle
coming off McIntosh Road at a high rate
of speed leading to charges against the
driver. Trent Bivens Belton, 44, 7975
Blackwood Road, Denver, was charged with
one count each of driving while impaired,
driving while license revoked, speeding,
and two counts of failure to comply. He
remains in the Harven A. Crouse Detention
Center under a $2,007 secured bond.
A passenger in his vehicle, Ronald Dean
Yeager, 6640 Larry Drive, Charlotte, was
charged with probation violation. He was
entered in the National Crime Information
Computer (NCIC) out of Gaston County.
Narcotics officers also arrested Todd
William Johnson, 39, 1966 Lucia-Stanley
Road, Stanley, on one count of possession
of drug paraphernalia. Officers seized
three crack pipes from his vehicle.
Johnson was released on a $1,000
unsecured bond.
Antonio Dewaine Green, 33, 4830 Sierra
Drive, Denver, was issued a citation for
simple possession of marijuana and having
no operators license.
"Officers targeted the McIntosh Road
area because it is a known drug area in
eastern Lincoln County," said
Lincoln County Sheriff's Office spokesman
Larry Seagle.
