POLICE
GET DRUGS OFF CITY STREETS
By Jon Mayhew [LINCOLNTON]
Authorities make two big drug
arrests in two separate cases Tuesday.
First, Sgt. Willie Vaughn conducted a
traffic stop on East Main Street,
involving 40-year-old Teresa Anthony
Hunsucker of 605 Huss Street.
She was cited for driving while
license revoked, said Vaughn.
We also served drug warrants on
her.
Hunsucker was charged with a grand total
of 10 felony counts of possession with
intent to sell, manufacture and deliver
controlled substances, as well as
possession of marijuana and the sale and
delivery of marijuana. She was taken to
the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center
under a $43,000 secured bond. As of late
Wednesday night, Hunsucker posted bond
and was released from jail.
The second incident happened around 5pm.
Authorities arrest 27-year-old Travis Lee
Goins of Morrison Houser Road,
Lincolnton. The suspect was arrested at
208 Lynch Street.
Authorities seized about a pound of
marijuana from Goins, who they say was
planning to sell the drug on the streets
of Lincolnton.
Goins was taken to the Harven A. Crouse
Detention Center under a $35,000 secured
bond. Goins had posted bond and was
released from jail as of late Wednesday
night.
