Lincoln County Officials and Volunteers Seeking Donations To Care For Rescued Animals

DENVER – Lincoln County officials and volunteers are seeking donations to help care for 375 animals and birds rescued from a residence on Petite Lane Tuesday.

Emergency Management Director Susan Spake said there is a desperate need for towels to help with washing, bathing and bedding for the animals at the rescue shelter. Anyone that has towels that can be used for this purpose can drop them off at the Denver Fire Department on Highway 16.

If you prefer to make a monetary donation, the fire departments assisting in the rescue have set up an account at First Federal Savings Bank in the name of “Operation Noah’s Ark”. You can make your donation at any First Federal Savings Bank in Lincoln County.

The animals are continuing to get medical attention and are being cared for by volunteers and others at a central location in Denver.
