MAN
CHARGED WITH DOCTOR SHOPPING

LINCOLNTON -- An Iron Station man is
arrested at a Lincolnton pharmacy, charged with
doctors shopping by Lincolnton Police.
Ricky Lee Miller II, 26, of Lambs Way, was
arrested at The Drug Store on Generals Boulevard
Friday around 5:45 p.m. by officer D. Mocanu.
In Mocanu's arrest repot, Miller was charged with
three felony counts of doctor shopping as well as
a count of possession of marijauna and a count of
possession of drug paraphernalia.
More than 100 tablets of various medications were
seized during the arrest. Mocanu said Miller had
obtained several prescriptions from multiple
doctors and had them filled within a 15-day
period.
Being assisted by officer T. Potts, Mocanu took
Miller to the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center
under a $62,000 bond. A probable cause hearing
was set for Monday in Lincolnton district court.
The investigation is continuing and more charges
against Miller are expected.
