GASTONIA - Diane Welch, 57, of 901 Evening Shade Lane, passed away June 14, 2009, at her residence.

She was born Oct. 18, 1951, in Gaston County, daughter of the late Issac William Holt Sr. and Gracie Mae Bullis Watts.
Mrs. Welch was a member of Clover Free Will Baptist church for eight years. She loved doing crafts at home.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, Gastonia, officiated by the Revs. Marvin Carson Sr., Ronald Duncan Sr. and James Messer Sr.

Interment will be held at Whitlock's Dream Cemetery, Lincolnton.

A visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, Gastonia.

She is survived by her husband, James L. Welch of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, James Welch Jr. and Rebecca, Michael Welch and Holly, all of Gastonia; brothers and sisters-in-law, Issac Holt Jr. and Sue of High Shoals, William Holt Sr. and Sherry of Lincolnton, Ronnie Bullis and Minnie of Lawndale, Ray Holt of Bessemer City; sisters and brother-in-law, Carol Whitlock of Lincolnton, Tammy Graham of Gastonia, Molly and Steve Rumfelt of Dallas, Martha Friday of Hardin, Priscilla Kirkland of McAdenville; and the rest of the Bingham Family; grandchildren, Dwayne and Taylor Welch of Gastonia.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Tommy Holt, Arthur Holt and Ernest Bingham; sister, Patsy McClure.
