CHERRYVILLE - Dewey Oliver Curtis, 81, of Spring Branch Rd., died July 1, 2009 at Lincoln Nursing Center.

He was born on July 4, 1927 in Gaston Co. son of the late Samuel and Alice Ritch Curtis.

He is survived by his nephew and caregiver’s Dale Curtis and his mother Sybil Allen, of Cherryville, two brothers Jerry Curtis of Cherokee, NC and Arnold

Curtis of Vale, and a sister Mary Brown of Lincolnton.

A memorial service will be held Friday at Carpenter’s Funeral Home at 4 PM with Rev. Leonard Bumgardner officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends Friday at Carpenter’s from 3-4 PM and at mother times at the home.
