David Todd Martin faces several charges
after trying to elude arrest Tuesday
morning.
DENVER A
Mount Holly man faces several charges
after trying to elude a Lincoln County
Sheriffs deputy who was trying to
conduct a traffic stop.
Deputy R. Richard first spotted a White
Mercedes heading north on Highway 16
around 2:19am Tuesday. Deputy Richard
tried to initiate a traffic stop but the
vehicle took off.
After turning south in the 1400 block of
Highway 16, the vehicle turned down a
driveway, suddenly coming to a stop.
Deputy Richard said David Todd Martin
jumped out of the vehicle and ran into
the woods. Deputy J. Connor was called to
assist Deputy Richard.
The pair captured Martin, who had run
about 1/8 of a mile into the woods
according to Deputy Richard.
Martin, 38, 156 Antelope Drive, Mount
Holly, was arrested and charged with
resisting arrest; driving while license
revoked; having a fictitious plate;
registration violation and having an open
container. He was taken to the Harven A.
Crouse Detention Center under a $2,250
secured bond.
Martin has since posted bond and has been
released from custody.
