detectives are investigating an armed
robbery Wednesday afternoon at the CVS
Pharmacy in the Westport Shopping Center
in Denver.
Around
2:30 p.m., a white male, about
five-feet-seven with short hair, walked
into the store and demanded drugs from
the pharmacist.
In
exclusive video on The Carolina Scoop,
Lincoln County Sheriff Tim Daugherty said
the suspect fled the store on foot and
headed toward the woods behind the store.

"We're
actively persuing the suspect,"
Daugherty said.
No
employees were injured in the robbery.
The store remained open after the
incident took place.
Canine
units from the Department of Corrections
(DOC) and Lincolnton Police were used to
aid in the search. Investigators may be
looking in the woods near the store for
the suspect.
