Argument between mother, son causes residential damage

By Jon Mayhew
Officers were called to a residence in the 1200 block of Georgetown Road Monday afternoon after an argument between mother and son leads to the son causing major damage to a residence.

According to Lt. Randy Willis, the argument was over cutting the grass.

Officer Tony Potts responded just after 12:30pm and spoke with the mother. She told officers her 39-year-old son lives at the residence and became upset about the lawn.

Potts' incident report indicates he took a push mower from the residence and did about $5,000 worth of damage.

“He tore the house all to pieces,” said Willis.

The victim was given her options including pressing charges against her son; officers said they didn't think that would happen in the case.
