CAROLINA TRUST BANK "SETS THE PACE" FOR 2008

By Jon Mayhew (LINCOLNTON) -- For the second year in a row, Carolina Trust Bank has been named Lincoln County United Way Pacesetter of the Year.

Activities that contributed to CTB’s successful United Way campaign
included 100% employee participation, corporate contribution, utilization of
United Way agencies/speakers and videos, day off for Fair Share
contributors, all to raise more than $10,290.

The campaign started in September and consists of 9 local businesses
who run their employee campaign to kickoff the United Way’s annual
campaign. Pacesetters include Carolina Trust Bank, First Federal Bank,
Lincoln County Schools, The Timken Company, CMC-Lincoln, City of
Lincolnton, Belk, First Citizen’s Bank, and Lincoln County Government. The
Pacesetter’s raised over $155,000 for Lincoln County agencies.
