"GIFTS
FOR CHILDREN" CONCERT SET FOR FRIDAY

LINCOLNTON --
The second annual "Gifts for
Children" concert will be 7 p.m.
Friday at Highland Drive Freewill Baptist
Church on Highland Drive in Lincolnton.
Proceeds from the
concert benefit needy children in Lincoln
County, with the money being used to help
provide gifts and clothing. The first
concert in 2007 raised $1,200 for
families with children who received the
gifts.
The concert was a
vision of Lincoln County Sheriff Tim
Daugherty to help fill a need in Lincoln
County.
This year you will
hear a joint choir comprised of Lincoln
County Sheriffs Office and
Lincolnton Police officers and employees,
and the Highland Drive Church choir.
The singing group
Paris, which includes three
sheriffs officers, will also
perform at the concert. Church pastor and
Sheriffs Office Chaplain Brian
Williams with host the concert.
