CUSTOMER
PULLS KNIFE ON STORE CLERK
LINCOLNTON
A cashier at the Family
Dollar Store on East Main Street told
police Friday afternoon a customer pulled
a shank knife on her at the store.
Officer Jimmy Barlowe responded to the
store just before 4:30pm in reference to
a call on a suspicious person.
The man, described as a white male in his
50s, 5-feet-7-inches tall weighing about
200 pounds with no hair, wearing a blue
striped shirt and blue jeans, purchased a
bag of candy.
According to the employee, the man then
went behind the register and started to
take a soda, placing the soda in his back
pocket.
When the cashier advised the
suspect would have to pay for the soda,
the suspect pulled out a six-inch piece
of metal with the razor blade on the end
of it, said Barlowe. When the
clerk told the suspect to leave, the
suspect said he was just playing.
Police at the time werent able to
locate the suspect. Anyone with
information is asked to call Lincolnton
Police at (704) 736-8900.
