JAILED DRUG
SUSPECT FACES FAILING TO APPEAR CHARGE

LINCOLNTON
Rita Renee Clemmer was one of 38
drug suspects rounded up last week by
Lincolnton Police and the citys
Special Enforcement Team. Now, the
Georgetown Road woman is charged with
failing to appear in court, even though
shes been in jail for a week.
Clemmer was charged via an order for
arrest on a charge of misuse of 911. She
was served the warrant by Sgt. Willie
Vaughn at the Harven A. Crouse Detention
Center around 5:30pm.
Bond on the new charge was set at $1,200
secured.
Clemmer, of 1015 Georgetown Road, has
been in jail since being charged as part
of an operation called Summertime
Blues.
According to Detective Lt. Brian Greene,
it was one last push for Lincolnton
Police Chief Dean Abernathy before his
October 2009 retirement.
