MORGANTON - Christopher "Caleb" Blanchfield, 17, of Morganton, went to be with our father in Heaven on June 21, 2009.

He was born May 26, 1992, in Burke County, to Angela Smith.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Webbs Chapel Baptist Church, Lincolnton with the Rev. Tim Spencer officiating.

Interment will be at the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home, Bessemer City and other times at the home of Edna Reynolds, 1848 Long Shoals Road, Lincolnton.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Angela Smith and Bryan Anderson; brother, Casey Smith; grandmother, Betty Whisenant; step-grandfather, Richard Whisenant; grandfather, Charles Smith; great-grandmother, Edna Reynolds; aunts and uncles, DeAnna and Chris Deal, Barbara and Greg Monn, Dawn and Gary Gregory; cousins, Michael and Daniel Monn, Kelsey, Kourtney, and Brighton Deal, Kimberly and Brittany Mellon.

He was preeceded in death by his sister, Amanda Marie Blanchfield; maternal great-grandfather, Clyde Reynolds; paternal great-grandparents, Porter and Bertha Smith.
