MAN CHARGED WITH ASSAULTING CHILD

LINCOLNTON – Michael Kent Pruner has been charged with assaulting a child under the age of 12 by Lincolnton Police.

Pruner was a guest at the Days Inn on Clark Drive and was at the hotel’s swimming pool at the time of the incident.

Officer Michael Reep served the warrant on Pruner at the hotel, assisted by Officer Richard Harrington and Lt. Dwite Shehan. Pruner was taken to the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $2,500 secured bond.

Pruner was arrested Thursday just after midnight and has since posted his bond and been released from jail.
