DENVER --
A Denver principal has been named
preschool principal of the year by the
parent organization of Chesterbrook
Academy in Denver, Nobel Learning
Communities.
LaSha Taylor
received the honor at the annual
principal's conference, which was held in
Las Vegas in early October.
"LaSha's
commitment and enthusiasm to her students
makes it a pleasure, as a parent, to be
part of the Chesterbrook Academy
family," said Danielle Brisbin,
parent of a student at Chesterbrook
Academy. "Her love for her students
and job shows in every aspect of the
school. We are truly lucky to have her as
our principal."
The
Preschool Principal of the Year award is
presented each year to a principal who
stands out among Nobel Learning
Communities' preschools across the
country for inspiring and motivating both
students and staff.
"I'm
thrilled to receive this honor. As a
teacher, I believe you impact the
students in your classroom, but as a
principal, I have the ability to interact
and affect each student that walks
through the front doors of Chesterbrook
Academy," said LaSha Taylor.
"Being able to provide my students
quality teachers in a safe and nurturing
environment is what makes my job so
rewarding."
A resident
of Mooreville, N.C., Taylor holds a
Bachelor of Arts in psychology from
Rutgers University in N.J. She has been
with Chesterbrook Academy for three
years, and an educator for more than 12
years.
Chesterbrook
Academy opened earlier this year, and is
located near Lowe's Hardware at 7274
Highway 73 in Denver and can be contacted
at (704) 827-1091.
