Early Morning Chase Ends in Crash

LINCOLNTON -- Sheriff's deputies chased a vehicle early this morning in Lincoln county, and the chase has ended in a crash.

Around 4:45 a.m. Thursday, auhorities were dispatched to an accident at the intersection of Micha Lane and Highway 73. Authorities confirmed the accident and the fact the incident started from the chase.

The Carolina Scoop is working to learn more about why deputies were chasing the suspect. The North Carolina Highway Patrol is handling the accident.

Authorities said the chase started at Old Mill Road and Highway 150.
