VALE - Charles Alfred Cole, age 66, of Jake Seagle Road, Vale, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at his residence. He was born in Morris County, NJ, on August 11, 1942 to the late Harold Cole and Verna Slack Cole.

He was in the US Navy.

He is survived by his wife Shirley M. Cole of the home, two daughters Brenda Jean Pickeral of Charlotte and Kim Bolick of Lincolnton, one son, Jerry McMurtrie of Kings Mountain, three sisters, Shirley McWilliams of New Jersey, Ester Vreeland of Arizona, and Sandra Cole of New Jersey, one brother, Harold Cole, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A graveside memorial service will be held Monday, June 15, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
