POLICE INVESTIGATING HOME INVASION

By Jon Mayhew [LINCOLNTON] – A man inside his Chapman Street residence discovers an unknown black male subject in his living room.

Lincolnton Police officer Tony Potts said Donald Coble was waiting for his wife to come home, when he heard the door open and close.

“He was waiting for his wife in a back bedroom,” said Potts. “When Mr. Coble heard the door open and close, he asked if it was her.”

When Coble made it to the other part of the house, he found the suspect in the kitchen.

According to Coble, the suspect had already went through the living room.

“When the suspect saw the victim, the suspect turned and ran out the front door,” said Potts, adding Coble couldn’t provide a description of the suspect.

Nothing was taken from the residence. Coble wasn’t injured in the incident.
